Coastal paddling presents a dimension in paddling that can push a paddler's skills and courage to their limits but same as other types of paddling, it can be just plain fun in a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. The key is knowing your limits and keeping tides, currents, weather, and distance factors in mind as you paddle. Quoting from Tom Bergh in the May 2009 issue of CANOE & KAYAK magazine "The biggest rapids in the world are in the sea." Troublesome Creek has experience in coastal paddling which includes paddling and camping in several coastal swamp areas, in several sounds, several coastal creeks and rivers, the Intercoastal Waterway, and several islands along the coast. Admittedly, our coastal paddling experience is not as extensive as our inland experience but we are glad to share our knowledge with you and assist you with your coastal paddling requirements. We have an Annual Spring Coastal Trip and an Annual Fall Coastal Paddling Trip. We invite you to join us for these coastal adventures. |
